However, before jumping onto the low carb diet bandwagon, it would serve us well to examine the facts about low carb diets.
The idea behind the low carb diet philosophy is that if carbohydrates are reduced in the diet, then the body will have no choice but to burn body fat.
Because when carbohydrates are eaten, the body secretes insulin which tells the body to stop burning body fat and to start burning the new fuel that was just eaten.
